59. as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manumit & set free on the thirtyeth day of December Eighteen hundred and sixty five my Negro Girl named Cate being now about the age of twelve years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and mintenance and all her increase to be liberated and set free at the following age all the Males at the age of thirty five years and the Females at the age of thirty years And her the said Negro Girl named Cate and all her increase born within the time of her servitude I do declare to be free, manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my heirs, Executors or Administrators from and after the aforesaid time or times forever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this fifteenth day of February 1848. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of William Collison (Seal) Robert Bell Solomon Robinson Maryland Dorchester County, To wit: On this 15.th day of February 1848 before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County William Collison and acknowledges the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of Assembly in such cases made & provided. Taken & Acknowledged before Robert Bell J. P. William Collison Be it remembered that the following deed of Manumission 60 to Ex.d was recorded on the 21.st day of February 1848, To wit: Negro Israel To all whom it may concern be it known that I William Collison of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free and by these presence do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manumit and set free on the thirtyeth day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty five my Negro Man called Israel being now about the age of thirty two years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said Negro Man named Israel I do declare to be free, manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me, my Executors or Administrators from and after the aforesaid 30.th day of December Eighteen hundred & fifty five forever.
