373. Eighteen hundred and fifty one, personally appeared before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for the State of Maryland, William Frazier and Thomas I. Frazier, the grantees in the aforegoing Bill of sale, and made Oath that the consideration set forth in the said Bill of sale is true & bona fide as therein set forth. Charles Corkran. Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: On this seventeenth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty one, appeared before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace for the State of Maryland, in and for Dorchester County, John M. Frazier, the grantor in the foregoing Bill of Sale and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and deed. Acknowledged before Charles Corkran. Mary S. Hooper Be it remembered that the following Bill Ex.d from 65 of Sale was recorded on the 12.th day of Severn Mister & wife October A. D. 1851, To wit: & W.m Andrews & wife Know all Men by these presents that we Severn Mister and Fanny Mister his wife, and William Andrews and Harriet F. Andrews his wife, of Dorchester County & State of Maryland, for & in consideration of the sum of Eighty dollars, current money of Maryland, to us in hand paid by Mary S. Hooper of the same County and State, before the ensealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Severn Mister and Fanny Mister his wife, William Andrews and Harriet F. Andrews his wife, have granted, bargained & sold, conveyed and transfered, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell, convey and transfer unto the said Mary S. Hooper, her heirs and Assigns forever, all of our right and interest in and to the following Negroes, To wit: one Negro woman, Nelly Huckett, aged fifty three years, one Negro Man Charles Brown aged twenty four years, slaves for life, and now in the possession of the said Mary S. Hooper. To have and to hold all of our eight to the above named Negroes to the said Mary S. Hooper, her heirs and Assigns forever and to and for no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever, against us the said Severn Mister and Fanny Mister his wife, and William Andrews and Harriet F. Andrews his wife, and our heirs, and against all persons whatever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof by from or under us In testimony whereof the said Severn Mister and Fanny Mister, William Andrews and Harriet |
