manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release
from slavery ^liberate^ manumit and set free my negro woman named Linah
being of the age of twenty three and able to work and gain a sufficient
livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named
Linah I do declare to be henceforth free, manumitted & discharged
from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors or administrators
forever.  In Witness whereof I have hereto set my name
and seal affixed this 23.d August 1847.

                             Maryland Dorchester County Sct.  On the 23.d
day of August Anno Domini 1847  Then came James Jones J. P.
before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for said
County and acknowledged the aforegoing Manumission to be his Act
and deed according to the purport, true intent and meaning of the
same and the Acts of Assembly in such case made & provided.

William Frazier                 Be it remembered that the following Deed of
Paid   to   Ex.d                 Manumission was recorded August 30.th 1847, To wit:
Henry Henson, Negro      Know all men by these presents that I William
                                        Frazier of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland
for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have released
from Slavery, liberated, manumitted and forever set free and by these presents
do release from Slavery, liberate, manumit and forever set free my Negro
Man called Henry Henson aged about thirty four years hereby acknowledging
the said Negro Man called Henry Henson discharged & liberated from
all manner of servitude from me, my heirs, executors and Administrators
from and after the execution of this Manumission.  Witness my hand
and seal this 30.th day of August 1847.
Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of              W.m Frazier   (Seal)

Maryland Dorchester County, To Wit:
On the 30.th day of August 1847 the above named William Frazier
appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace
in and for the County and state afs.d and Acknowledged the above
Manumission to be his Act and deed and delivered the same for
the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the Act of
Assembly in such Case made and provided.         Before
