I also manumit & set free the increase of the following slaves already manumitted, the increase to be free as above on the first day of January after they shall have arived at thirty years of age, namely Sarah Young Sophia Brown Phebe Kier Mary Manoca Rebecca Sprigs Cassy Young Phebe Kier Charity Sprigs Angelina Young and the said Negroes I do hereby declare to be henceforth free, manumitted and discharged from service when they shall arrive at the above named aged. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand & affixed my seal this sixth day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & forty nine. Thompson, party to the within instrument of writing, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland and for said County, and acknowledged the same to be his Act & deed for the purposes within mentioned. Charles Corkran William Bell Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on the 14.th day 50 from Ex.d of November 1849 To wit: Garret McBride Maryland Dorchester County To wit: Know all men by these presents that I Garret McBride of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred Dollars Current money to me in hand paid by William Bell of Dorchester County & State aforesaid before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Bell his heirs Executors & Administrators negro Woman Mary aged about twenty two years to serve until the twentieth day of April Eighteen Hundred & fifty five after which the said Mary is to be free and warrant a good title to that period.
