178. State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond Ex.d from was recorded on the 16.th day of April 1849, To wit: Geo. S. McNamara & others {Stamp} Know all men by these presents, that {one Dollar} we George S. McNamara, Martin L. Wall and Thomas Andrews, of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, are held & firmly bound unto the State of Maryland, in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars, current money of the United States, to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney; to the which payment well & truly to be made & done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and Administrators, jointly & severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals & dated this sixteenth day of April 1849. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden George S. McNamara shall well & truly execute the Office of Constable of Lakes District in all things appertaining thereto, and shall also well & truly account for all moneys placed in his hands for collection, and shall also well & truly pay all sums of Money received by him, on Judgment or otherwise, then the obligation to be void, otherwise of full force & virtue in law. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of G. S. McNamara (L S) Ja.s Hammersly James Higgins Martin L. Wall (L S) Tho.s Andrews (L S) Dorchester County, To wit: On the sixteenth day of April 1849, personally appeared before me, the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in & for the County aforesaid, James Higgins & James Hammersly, subscribing witnesses to the above Bond, do make Oath that George S. McNamara, Martin L. Wall and Thomas Andrews, Obligors mentioned in the said Bond, did severally, in our presence, sign, seal & deliver the said Bond, as their act and deed, for the purposes therein mentioned. Mills & others {Stamp} Know all men by these presents that we {one dollar} Polish Mills, Francis I. Henry & William A. Sulivane, of Dorchester County, in the state of Maryland, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland, in the full & just sum of Two thousand dollars, current money of the United States, to be paid to the said state, or its certain Attorney; to the which payment well and truly to be made & done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors & Administrators, jointly & severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this sixteenth day of April 1849. |
