1. Jonah Kelly Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was from Ex.d recorded on the 3.d day of May 1847, To wit: Mary J. Kelly Know all men by these presents that I Mary Jane Kelly of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of seventy seven dollars and six cents current money to me in hand paid by Jonah Kelly of the County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I Mary Jane Kelly do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Jonah Kelly, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns all the goods, household stuff, implements and furniture hereinafter particularly mentioned that is to say one Bay Mare, one set Pottery, one Milk house, five chairs, one rocking Chair, two Shoats, one cuting Axe, one half Bushel, one Barrel Vinegar, one Harrow, Plough & Gear, Tin ware, two trays, one Tin Coffee pot, Cupboard ware, one Safe, Stockyards, a pot, oven & hooks, 1 p.r Tongs & Shovel, one Mantle clock, one pair Candle Sticks, one Candle Stand, one lot Queens ware, one set knives and forks, one Bureau, one Pine Table, Tea Board & Waiters, one Trunk, one Bed, Steed & furniture, one do Trunnel, one do, stead & furniture, one Chest, two Cows, one Plough & Gear, one set wood ware all and singular which goods & chattels are now remaining standing and being in the possession of me the said Mary Jane Kelly To have and to hold all and singular the said goods, house hold stuff and furniture, and other premises above bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Jonah Kelly, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever And I the said Mary Jane Kelly for myself, my heirs, executors and Administrators all and singular the said goods, house hold stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said Jonah Kelly, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns against me the said Mary Jane Kelly, my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which goods, house hold stuff and furniture & other premises I the said Mary Jane Kelly have put the said Jonah Kelly in full possession by delivering to him the said Jonah Kelly one Bed, Bedstead and furniture at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole Premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto him the said Jonah Kelly as aforesaid. In Witness whereof I the said Mary Jane Kelly have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 30.th day of April in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven Sealed & delivered in the presence of me John B.
