421. Signed Sealed and delivered William Wingate (Seal) In the presence of Thomas Breerwood (Seal) Tho H Hooper J. C. Wright (Seal) March 10.th 1847. The above Bond and Sureties appeared by me one of of the Justices of the orphans Court of Dorchester County James Dixon James A. Stewart Be it Remembered that the following Bill of Sale was from x.d recorded on the Eleventh day of March in the year Joseph Marine Eighteen hundred and forty Seven to wit Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Marine Free negro of Dorchester County have bargained sold and transferred and by these presents do bargain sell and transfer to James A Stewart for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and thirty five Dollars to me in hand paid by Said Stewart the following property to wit Three head of horses now in my possession 2 Yoke of Stears, two Carts, 12 head of Cattle, 24 head of hogs, Farming Utensils of every description and Household and Kitchen furniture and all my personal property To Have and to Hold the said property to the said Stewart and his heirs and Assigns forever Whereas the said Marine Stands indebted to the said Stewart in the Sum of one hundred and thirty five Dollars with Interest from 10.th January last. Now the Condition of this transfer is this if the said Joseph Marine do pay to the said Stewart his heirs Exors Admors or Assigns the said Sum of Money with Interest on or before the 1.st of January next then this obligation to be void else of full force and Virtue in law Witness my hand and Seal this 11.th March 1847 Test Robert Bell J. P. his Joseph + Marine (Seal) mark Dorchester County To wit On this 11.th March 1847 personally appears before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County Joseph Marine and Acknowledges the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his Act and deed Acknowledged before Robert Bell J.
