Governor's

Salary Commission

1994

NOTE: The Maryland Constitution, Article II, Section 21A creates the Governor's Salary
Commission and requires that changes to the salaries of the Governor and Lieutenant
Governor be introduced as a joint resolution in each house of the General Assembly
every four years. If the Governor's Salary Commission recommends no salary change, no
joint resolution shall be introduced. This was the case for the 1994 Report of the
Governor's Salary Commission.
