Second 1993 Annexation

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAUREL BY
THE ADDITION THERETO OF SECTION NO. 229, ENTITLED SECOND 1993
ANNEXATION, PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS BEING LOCATED ON THE
SOUTHERLY SIDE OF CHERRY LANE, A PORTION OF WHICH IS LOCATED
ON THE EASTERLY SIDE OF VAN DUSEN ROAD, TO THE WEST OF THE
CURRENT BOUNDARY OF THE LAUREL LAKES AREA OF THE CITY OF
LAUREL AND THE BRAYGREEN INDUSTRIAL CENTER, AND ABUTTING
THE SOUTHERLY, SOUTHEASTERLY AND NORTHEASTERLY BOUNDARIES
OF THE GREATER LAUREL PROFESSIONAL PARK; ALSO INCLUDING A
PORTION OF THE VAN DUSEN ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN CHERRY
LANE AND THE GREATER LAUREL PROFESSIONAL PARK; AND ALSO
INCLUDING AN AREA ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF VAN DUSEN ROAD
BETWEEN THE GREATER LAUREL-BELTSVILLE HOSPITAL AND OSEH
SHALOM PROPERTIES ON THE SOUTH, AND CHERRY LANE (EXCLUSIVE OF
THE LAUREL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT PARCELS) ON THE NORTH;
CONSISTING OF 270 ACRES, MORE OR LESS; AND FOR THE PLACING OF
SAID PROPERTIES IN THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) ZONE.

[Section 229 of the Charter of the City of Laurel, Prince George's County, as found
in the compilation of Municipal Charters of Maryland (1990 Replacement Edition and
1993 Supplement), added.

Charter Amendment Resolution No. 3-93

FOR THE PURPOSE OF amending certain provisions of said Charter providing for the
powers and duties of the office of Mayor and Town Manager by repealing, and repealing
and reenacting with amendments, certain sections of said Charter.

[Sections C4-4(B), C4-6, and C8-5(B) of the Charter of the Town of Manchester,
Carroll County, as found in the compilation of Municipal Charters of Maryland (1990
Replacement Edition and 1993 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
