(iii) Any name which is recorded under § 1-406 or reserved under §
2-107, § 4A-209, § 9-804, or § 10-103 or registered under § 4A-1002, § 7-101, or §
10-904 of this article; or

(iv) A name that a foreign corporation has assumed under subsection
(c) of this section.

7-101.

(a) Any foreign corporation may register its name in this State if the name is not
the same as or misleadingly similar to:

(1)     The name of any Maryland corporation, limited partnership, LIMITED
LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP, or limited liability company;

(2)     The name of any foreign corporation, limited partnership, LIMITED
LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP, or limited liability company registered or qualified to do
business in this State; or

(3)     Any name reserved under § 2-107, § 4A-209, § 9-804, or § 10-103 of this
article, registered under this section, § 4A-1002, or § 10-904 of this article, or recorded
under § 1-406 of this article.

9-101.

(a)     In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b)     "Bankrupt" includes bankrupt under the federal Bankruptcy Act or insolvent
under any state insolvency act.

(c)     "Business" includes every trade, occupation, or profession.

(d)     "Conveyance" includes every assignment, lease, mortgage, or encumbrance.

(e)     "Dissolution" means the change in the relation of the partners caused by any
partner ceasing to be associated in the carrying on as distinguished from the winding up
of the business.

(F) "LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP" MEANS A PARTNERSHIP THAT:

(1) IS FORMED PURSUANT TO IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN AGREEMENT
GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THIS STATE,;

(2) IS REGISTERED UNDER § 9-801 OF THIS ARTICLE,; AND COMPLYING

(3) COMPLIES WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SUBTITLE 8 OF THIS TITLE.

[(f)] (G) "Partnership" means an association of two or more persons to carry on
as co-owners a business for profit. Any association formed under any other statute of this
State, or any statute adopted by authority, other than the authority of this State, is not a
partnership under this title unless the association would have been a partnership in this
State before June 1, 1916; but this title shall apply to limited partnerships except insofar
as the statutes relating to such partnerships are inconsistent with this title.
