VETOES

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall terminate and
be of no effect after July 1, [1996] 2004.

(f) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this section, on Or before
July 1, [1996] 2003, an evaluation shall be made of the State Physician Assistant Advisory
Committee established under the Health Occupations Article and the regulations that
relate to the Physician Assistant Advisory Committee.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitutional have today
vetoed Senate Bill 687.

This bill would extend the termination date of the State Commission of Real Estate
Appraisers from July 1, 1994 to July 1, 2003.

House Bill 1485, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 2,
1994, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is hot necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 687.

AN ACT concerning

State Commission of Real Estate Appraisers

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Commission of Real Estate Appraisers in
accordance with the Maryland Program Evaluation Act by extending to a certain
date the termination provision relating to the statutory and regulatory authority of
the Commission and the regulation of real estate appraisers; providing for the
effective date of this Act; and relating generally to the continuation of the State
Commission of Real Estate Appraisers.
