S.B. 583 VETOES WHEREAS, It is envisioned that the Efficiency 2000 Commission will make (1) shifting of services from the public sector to the private sector (2) eliminating certain programs and services, including a concomitant (3) altering State/local-fiscal relations with regard to funding and services (4) reforming the State budget process to accord public managers greater (5) facilitating greater utilization of the State's Innovative Idea Award (6) increasing reliance on the State's public/private higher education (7) developing ways by which selected State programs and services can WHEREAS, The Efficiency 2000 Commission will terminate its existence under this SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF Article - State Government SUBTITLE 18. EFFICIENCY 2000 COMMISSION (A) IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS (B) "COMMISSION" MEANS THE EFFICIENCY 2000 COMMISSION: (C) (1) "GOVERNMENTAL UNIT" MEANS A PERMANENT INSTRUMENTALITY - 3656 -
