CONTINGENCY CONNECTED WITH ANY OTHER EXECUTIVE ACTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 525.

This bill would amend the Maryland Food Committee Loan of 1993 to allow the matching
fund provided by the Board of Directors of the Maryland Food Committee to include
funds received from the State and funds expended prior to the effective date of the Act.

House Bill 1100, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 2,
1994, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 525.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland Food Committee Loan of 1993

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 438 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1993,
the Maryland Food Committee Loan of 1993, to allow the Board of Directors of the
Maryland Food Committee, Inc. to use certain funds received from the State and
prior expended funds as matching funds.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
