The Secretary of General Services shall designate [the Maryland Rehabilitation
and Employment Association, Inc.] MARYLAND WORKS, INC., or another appropriate
coordinating [entity] ENTITY, to facilitate the distribution of procurement contracts for
supplies and services among sheltered workshops.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning
Agricultural Land Preservation Easements - Releases
FOR the purpose of clarifying the conditions under which the seller of an agricultural
land preservation easement may obtain a release in order to construct a dwelling
house for the landowner or child of the landowner; providing for the issuance of a
preliminary release; establishing certain conditions under which the release is to
become final or void; providing for the inclusion of certain information and
documents in certain releases; providing for the recordation of certain releases and
documents; limiting the ability of the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation
Foundation to restrict certain landowners from obtaining a release; providing
certain exceptions to certain limitations on the size of the land released; clarifying
that this Act does not interfere with or supersede certain local laws, ordinances, or
regulations; and generally relating to the release of land from agricultural land.
