Ch. 3 1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND 15-102. THE APPROPRIATIONS DESCRIBED IN THIS TITLE SHALL BE USED FOR (1) REDUCING INFANT MORTALITY; (2) PREVENTING AVOIDABLE ILLNESS, DISABILITY, AND DEATHS; (4) REDUCING MATERNAL MORTALITY; (5) PROTECTING THE PUBLIC'S HEALTH THROUGH FOOD SANITATION, (6) REDUCING THE SPREAD OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASES; (7) PROVIDING NEEDED COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES; (8) INVESTIGATING AND CONTROLLING OUTBREAKS OF DISEASE; AND (9) INCREASING THE PUBLIC'S AWARENESS TO HEALTH AND ILLNESS 15-103. . (A) A COMMITTEE SHALL BE ESTABLISHED TO REVIEW AND MAKE (B) THE COMMITTEE SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL HEALTH SERVICES (C) THE COMMITTEE SHALL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING 13 MEMBERS: (1) TWO MEMBERS OF THE SENATE OF MARYLAND, APPOINTED BY THE (2) TWO MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, APPOINTED BY THE (3) THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE OR THE (4) FOUR MEMBERS, APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR, OF WHICH ONE (5) THREE MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR WHO ARE LOCAL - 304 -
