AN ACT concerning
Anatomical Donations - Designation on a Driver's License or Identification Card
FOR the purpose of providing an exemption from the requirement that a hospital
administrator must request that an individual's representative consent to the
donation of all or part of the decedent's organs or tissues under certain
circumstances; specifying that a donor designation noted on a driver's license or
identification card is valid and effective for certain purposes;- specifying that an
applicant for a driver's license or identification card may designate that the
applicant consents to the gift of all body organs or parts; specifying that certain
drivers' licenses and identification cards shall be deemed to meet certain
requirements and be given a certain force and effect; adding certain organizations
to the list of organizations that the Secretary must consult with for the development
of certain guidelines; making certain technical corrections; providing certain
immunity for certain persons under certain circumstances; and generally relating to
anatomical donations.
