AN ACT concerning
Department of the Environment - Permits - Local Zoning and Land Use Requirements
FOR the purpose of requiring an applicant for issuance of certain permits to obtain a
certain certification submit certain documentation from certain persons in concerning
approval by the county local jurisdiction in which a source is to be located or submit
certain documentation that certain local zoning and land use requirements have been
met before applying to the Department of the Environment; providing an exception;
and generally relating to requirements for permit applications with the Department
of the Environment.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(A) (1) BEFORE ACCEPTING AN APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT TO
CONSTRUCT ANY SOURCE LISTED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, THE
DEPARTMENT SHALL REQUIRE THE APPLICANT TO SUBMIT A WRITTEN STATEMENT
FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OR THE COUNTY OFFICIAL DESIGNATED BY
THE COUNTY GOVERNING BODY OF THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE SOURCE IS TO BE
LOCATED, CERTIFYING DOCUMENTATION:
