(b) (1) There is a Maryland Emergency Medical System Operations Fund.
(2) The Fund is a continuing, nonlapsing fund which is not subject to §
7-302 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.
(3) INTEREST AND EARNINGS ON THE FUND SHALL BE SEPARATELY
ACCOUNTED FOR AND CREDITED TO THE FUND, AND ARE NOT SUBJECT TO §
6-226(A) OF THE STATE FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT ARTICLE.
(F) FOR THE PURPOSE OF REIMBURSING THE FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
HELICOPTER AND FOR THE STATE SHARE OF THE EXPANSION OF THE HELICOPTER
HANGAR IN CENTREVILLE, MARYLAND, THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE THE
FOLLOWING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE ANNUAL BUDGET SUBMISSION FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION:
(1) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996, $2,000,000; AND
(2) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997, $2,000,000. $1,000,000; AND
(3) FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998, $1,000,000 $1,075,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, notwithstanding any other
provision of law, for Fiscal Year 1995 only, $75,000 of the Maryland Emergency Medical
System Operations Fund may be used only as a grant to the County Commissioners of
Caroline, Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne's Counties and the County Council of Talbot County
for the repair and renovation of the helicopter hangar in Centreville, Maryland.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws - Abandoned Vehicles - Posting of Notice
FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions to require, under certain circumstances, a
police department that takes an abandoned vehicle into custody to post a certain
notice in the circuit court in the jurisdiction where the vehicle was found rather than
publishing the notice in a newspaper; providing for the contents of the notice;
making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the notice required to be
provided by a police department that takes an abandoned vehicle into custody.
