AN ACT concerning
Elections - Voter Registration
FOR the purpose of making changes in provisions of law relating to voter registration to
comply with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993; designating the State
Administrator of Election Laws as the chief State election official; revising
provisions of law concerning voter registration by mail; providing for voter
registration on applications for the issuance and renewal of driver's licenses;
providing that a change of address or change of name form submitted to the Motor
Vehicle Administration for driver's license purposes also serve as notice of a change
of address or change of name for voter registration purposes, except under certain
circumstances; providing for the designation and duties of voter registration
agencies at public and private locations; defining the circumstances in which voters
may be removed from the voter roll; providing for the identification, notification,
and removal of certain voters from the voter roll; providing for the interpretation of
this Act; making provisions of this Act severable; providing for a delayed effective
date; and generally relating to the registration of voters.
