SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Estates and Trusts
2-108.
(q) The salary of each associate judge of the Court for Prince George's County
shall be [$25,000] $31,000 $28,000 per annum, and the salary of the Chief Judge shall be
[$25,500] $31,500 $28,500 per annum.
(y) (6) (I) Notwithstanding any provision of this section an Orphans' Court
judge may not receive a pension under this section if he is receiving any other State
pension.
(II) A FORMER JUDGE OF THE COURT FOR PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY WHO BECOMES A MEMBER OF A RETIREMENT OR PENSION SYSTEM THAT IS
INCLUDED IN THE MARYLAND STATE RETIREMENT AND PENSION SYSTEMS MAY
TRANSFER SERVICE CREDIT EARNED AS A JUDGE TO THAT SYSTEM.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article HI,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court for Prince
George's County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court for Prince
George's County shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning
Recordation and Indexing - Required Information
FOR the purpose of requiring an intake sheet to accompany certain instruments
presented to clerks of circuit courts for recordation in land records; exempting
certain instruments; providing for the form and contents of intake sheets; requiring
clerks to index certain property identifiers provided on intake sheets; requiring
clerks to rely on instruments for indexing of grantor's and grantee's names;
providing for the effect of intake sheets; repealing certain provisions of law relating
to indexing of land records in Baltimore County; and generally relating to the
recordation and indexing of instruments in land records.
