(iii) $3,300 for the calendar year 1993; and
(iv) $3,600 for the calendar year 1994.]

(I)      $3,710 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1995; AND

(II)  . $3,820 FOR CALENDAR-YEARS 1996, 1997, AND 1998.

(2) The Chairman is entitled to $800 each year for travel and other
expenses.

(b)     (1) The salary of the Vice Chairman of the County Board is:

[(i)   $2,475 for the calendar year 1991;

(ii)    $2,750 for the calendar year 1992;

(iii)   $3,025 for the calendar year 1993; and

(iv)    $3,300 for the calendar year 1994.]

(I)      $3,400 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1995; AND

(II)     $3,500 FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1996, 1997, AND 1998.

(2) The Vice Chairman is entitled to $600 each year for travel and other
expenses.

(c)     (1) The salary of a member of the County Board is:

[(i)   $2,250 for the calendar year 1991;

(ii)    $2,500 for the calendar year 1992;

(iii)   $2,750 for the calendar year 1993; and

(iv)    $3,000 for the calendar year 1994.]

(I)      $3,090 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1995; AND

(II)     $3,185 FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1996, 1997, AND 1998.

(2) Each member is entitled to $600 each year for travel and other expenses.

(d)     Each salary provided under this section shall be paid on a quarterly basis.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the salary or
compensation for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and members of the Charles County
Board of Education specified in Chapter 144 of the Acts of 1989 shall remain in effect for
the remainder of the term.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, or members of the
Charles County Board of Education in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
