Ch. 297                                    1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1994. It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years and, at the end of
September 30, 1997, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning

Procurement Law-Advisory Council on Prevailing Wage Rates - Extension of

Termination Provisions

FOR the purpose of extending the termination provisions relating to the Advisory
Council on Prevailing Wage Rates.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Finance and Procurement

17-203.

(a)     In this section, "Advisory Council" means the Advisory Council on Prevailing
Wage Rates.

(b)     There is an Advisory Council on Prevailing Wage Rates in the Division of
Labor and. Industry.                                                       

(c)     The Advisory Council consists of the following 6 members:

(1)     2 individuals from management in the building and construction
industry;

(2)     2 individuals from labor in the building and construction industry; and

(3)    2 individuals from the general public.

(d)     (1) The Governor shall appoint each member with the advice of the
Secretary of Licensing and Regulation and with the advice and consent of the Senate.
