AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Commissioners - Salaries

FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the members of the Board of County

Commissioners of Calvert County; providing that this Act does not apply to the

salary or compensation of the incumbent members of the Board of County

Commissioners of Calvert County; and generally relating to the salaries of the

members of the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 5 - Calvert County

2-101.

Five county commissioners comprise the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert
County. The annual salary of the president of the board is [$22,000] $27,500, and the
annual salary of each of the associate members of the board is [$20,000] $25,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED,. That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of any member of the Board of County
Commissioners of Calvert County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the Board of County
Commissioners of Calvert County shall take effect at the beginning of the next following
term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.
