(i) the person entitled to the balance; or

(ii) when there is a dispute regarding payment of the balance, a court
of competent jurisdiction pending a court order to determine the proper distribution of
the balance.

(b) In Washington County, any money held by the collector under subsection (a)
may be deposited in an interest-bearing account in a commercial bank. Any interest
accrued is paid to the general fund of Washington County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Department of Economic and Employment Development -
Maryland International Division

FOR the purpose of removing the Maryland Office of International Trade from the
Division of Business Development of the Department of Economic and
Employment Development; renaming the office the Maryland International
Division; altering certain duties and the authority of the Maryland International
Division; establishing the International Cabinet of the State and describing its
activities; removing the Private Sector Advisory Council from the Division of
Business Development and placing it within the Maryland International Division;
and generally relating to the authority and duties of the Maryland International
Division.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 83A - Department of Economic and Employment Development

Section 1-204(a)(8); and 2-107 and 2-108 to be under the new title "Title 7.
