Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

155.

(w) (1) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN [In] Washington County.

(2)      THE ANNUAL SALARIES FOR [the chairman of] the Board of License
Commissioners [shall receive an annual salary of $3,850. Each other member shall
receive an annual salary of $3,600] ARE:

(I)      CHAIRMAN - $4,850; AND

(II)     MEMBERS - $4,600.

(3)     The salaries specified in this subsection are payable monthly from the
license fees derived from the issuance of licenses authorized by this article.

[(2)] (4) A member or employee of the Board may not have any pecuniary
or other interest in any phase of the manufacture, sale or distribution of any alcoholic
beverages.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.

CHAPTER 255
(House Bill 301)

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $500,000, the
proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Trustees of Washington County
Museum of Fine Arts, Inc. for completing the construction and equipping of a new
addition to the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and completing the
renovation, expansion, improvement, and equipping of existing galleries and work
areas at the Museum, subject to the requirement that the Board of Trustees of
Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Inc. provide and expend a matching fund
and present by a certain date evidence that a matching fund will be provided; and
providing generally for the issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur indebtedness on
behalf of the State of Maryland through a State loan to be known as the Washington
County Museum of Fine Arts Loan of 1994 in a total principal amount equal to the lesser
of (i) $500,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund provided in accordance with
