WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                         Ch. 231

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-728.

[(d) Within 1200 feet of any pier that supports either span of the William Preston
Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge, a person may not:

(1)     Fish with a hook and line if he holds a commercial hook and line license;
or

(2)     Fish with a treble hook that is not an intrinsic part of a floating fishing
lure.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act may be
construed only to be consistent with and not in conflict with fishery management plans
adopted by the Department of Natural Resources under the authority § 4-215 of the
Natural Resources Article; and this Act may not be construed to authorize snagging of
fish or any other use of a treble hook that is not authorized under a fishery management
plan adopted by the Department under § 4-215 of the Natural Resources Article.

SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

(House Bill 200)

AN ACT concerning

Crimes - Trespass - Public Housing Authority Property

FOR the purpose of providing that certain provisions of law concerning trespass apply to
property used as a housing project and operated by certain housing authorities or by
certain other public entities if a certain notification is given under certain
circumstances; providing for the effective date of this Act; and generally relating to
trespass on property.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
Section 577
