1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

10-138.

(a)     Within [60] 120 days after an evaluation report is approved pursuant to §
10-135(d)(3), § 10-136(a)(2)(i), or § 10-137 of this subtitle, the unit shall propose for
adoption any amendments to or repeal of its regulations that were [proposed]
SUMMARIZED in the unit's evaluation report as approved.                       

(b)     The amendments or repeal shall be proposed in the manner provided under
Part HI of this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

(House Bill 5)

AN ACT concerning                                                       

Vehicle Laws - Residential Parking Permits - Vehicle Registration

FOR the. purpose of prohibiting a local authority from issuing a certain residential
parking permit to a vehicle owner who fails to provide proof that the vehicle for
which the permit is sought is registered in the State or that the owner has obtained
a certain nonresident permit or a complimentary guest card; providing that
nonresident permits may be issued by an agent designated by the Motor Vehicle
Administration; providing that an agent for the Administration may collect up to a
certain amount in addition to the permit fee to recov
er certain costs; prohibiting a
local authority from charging a fee for the issuance of a parking permit in a certain area;
clarifying language; making a technical change; and generally relating to residential
parking permits and vehicle registration.
