AN ACT concerning                                                                   

State Chesapeake Bay and Endangered Species Fund - Income Tax Checkoff

FOR the purpose of repealing the termination of the State Chesapeake Bay and
Endangered Species Fund and the income tax checkoff system for contributions to
the Fund.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 583 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1988, as amended by Chapter

452 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1992
Section 3 .

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows;

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 1989 and shall be applicable to all taxable years beginning after December 31,
1987. [It shall remain effective for a period of six and one half years; and, at the end of
July 1, 1995, and with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall
be abrogated and of no further force and effect.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 624 of the Acts of 1989, as amended by Chapter
107 of the Acts of 1991 and Chapter 213 of the Acts of 1992, the Treatment and
Learning Centers, Inc. Loan of 1989, to extend the time for the Treatment and
