corresponding with the number on the license issued to the owner, as provided in §
11-501 of this subtitle. The tags shall also have impressed thereon the calendar year for
which the tag is issued, and shall not be more than 1 inch in length, and shall be. equipped
with a substantial metal fastening device. The general shape of the tag shall be changed
from year to year, and the tags furnished owners of kennels shall have the word "kennel"
thereon. If any tag is lost it shall be replaced by the county treasurer, or tax collecting
office, upon application by the person to whom the original license was issued, upon the
production of the license and payment of a fee of 25 cents.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Volunteer Firemen and Rescue Squad Members - Burial Benefit

FOR the purpose of authorizing a prorated burial benefit to be paid on the death of
certain volunteer firemen or rescue squad members in Calvert County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 5 - Public Local Laws of Maryland Calvert County

14-102.

(g) (1) In the event a qualified volunteer WHO HAS COMPLETED 25 YEARS OF
CERTIFIED SERVICE dies, a burial benefit up to $3,000 shall be payable.

(2) IN THE EVENT A VOLUNTEER WHO IS RECEIVING BENEFITS UNDER
SUBSECTION (H) OF THIS SECTION DIES, A BURIAL BENEFIT UP TO $120 FOR EACH
YEAR OF CERTIFIED SERVICE SHALL BE PAYABLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.
