14-205.

(a)     With the advice of the established engineering societies, the Board shall
adopt, by regulation, a code of ethics for practicing engineering.

(b)     The Board shall distribute [a copy of the code of ethics]:

(1)     to each applicant for a license, A COPY OF THE MARYLAND
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS ACT AND THE BOARD'S RULES AND REGULATIONS; and

(2)     on each renewal of a license, to each licensee, A COPY OF ANY
AMENDMENTS TO THE MARYLAND PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS ACT AND THE
BOARD'S RULES AND REGULATIONS THAT TOOK EFFECT DURING THE 2-YEAR
PERIOD ENDING ON THE DATE OF RENEWAL.

[(c) In addition to complying with the publication requirements of Title 10,
Subtitle 1 of the State Government Article, the Board shall distribute a copy of any
amendment to the code of ethics to each licensee.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

Trademarks and Service Marks - Hearings and Registration Certificates

FOR the purpose of altering the type of notice and hearing opportunity the Secretary of
State shall give before denying registration of a trademark or service mark;
clarifying the type of seal to be placed on the certificate of registration for a
trademark or service mark; repealing the right to judicial review of a final decision
by the Secretary of State to deny a trademark or service mark registration; and,
generally relating to trademarks and service marks.
