WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                          Ch. 15

(f) Except for an applicant for a limited license to provide makeup artist services,
an applicant for a limited license shall pass an examination given by the Board under this
subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Occupational and Professional Licensing - Inactive Status - Reinstatement

FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Board of Public Accountancy and the State
Board of Master Electricians to reinstate the inactive status of certain licensees
under certain circumstances; and generally relating to the authority of the State
Board of Public Accountancy and the State Board of Master Electricians to
reinstate inactive licensees.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

Section 2-313 and 6-311

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1989 Volume and 1993 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

2-313.

(a)     The Board shall place a licensee on inactive status and issue an inactive status
certificate to the licensee, if the licensee:

(1)     submits to the Board an application for inactive status on the form that
the Board provides;

(2)     pays to the Board an inactive status application fee not exceeding $40, as
set by the Board; and

(3)     except for the continuing education requirements set under § 2-312 of
this subtitle, qualifies for an active license.

(b)     A licensee on inactive status may not practice certified public accountancy in
the State.
