2-309.

(d) (1) (vii) The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore [has] HAVE the same
power with respect to the salaries of the office of the Sheriff as [it has] THEY HAVE
under the city charter with respect to the salaries of all municipal departments.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Grammatical error in § 2-309(d)(1)(vii) of the Courts and Judicial
Proceedings Article.

Occurred: Ch. 10, Acts of 1993.

2-604.

(b) Constables may serve either full time or part time. Full-time constables are in
the classified service of the State Personnel Management System and shall be paid on the
same salary scale as that set by the Secretary of Personnel pursuant to § 2-309(d) of this
article for full-time deputy sheriffs in Baltimore City. Part-time constables are not in the
State Personnel Management System, and are paid the compensation prescribed by the
General Assembly, and serve at the pleasure of the Chief Judge of the District Court.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Grammatical error of the word "is" before "set by the Secretary" in
the second sentence of § 2-604(b) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Article.

Occurred: Ch. 22, Acts of 1993. Correction by the Michie Company in the
1993 Cumulative Supplement of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article is
validated by this Act.                                                                       

3-801.

(f) "Child in need of supervision" is a child who requires guidance, treatment, or
rehabilitation and:                                                         

(1)      [He is] IS required by law to attend school and is habitually truant;
[or]

(2)      [He is] IS habitually disobedient, ungovernable, and beyond the control
of the person having custody of him;

(3)      [He deports] DEPORTS himself so as to injure or endanger himself or
others; or

(4) [He has] HAS committed an offense applicable only to children.
