AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Board of Examiners and Supervisors - Electricians
FOR the purpose of amending the law governing the Board of Examiners and Supervisors
and the licensure of master electricians in Washington County; altering the manner
in which certain payments and certain fees are handled; altering certain
license-related fees and procedures; providing for two-year license terms for master
electricians; requiring a certain nonrefundable license examination fee; requiring a
licensee to pass an examination after a certain period of inactive status; repealing
requirements concerning possession and display of licenses; requiring an approved
electrical permit number be available at a job site at the request of an electrical
inspector; altering a certain minimum penalty; eliminating a certain reporting
requirement; specifying the County agency responsible for a certain function;
making stylistic changes; and generally relating to procedures concerning the
licensure of electricians in Washington County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 22 - Washington County
8-103.
(a) (1) Each member of the Board shall receive compensation of $30 per day
subject to a maximum of $300 per year for actual service in attending meetings of the
Board.
(2) The compensation shall be paid [out of any funds in the hand of the
Treasurer of the Board] BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
(3) The Secretary of the Board may receive additional compensation as the
Board considers just and reasonable, subject to the bylaws of the Board.
