3-307.

The Secretary may adopt rules and regulations establishing

(1)      ESTABLISHING standards of sanitation and sanitary practices AND
STANDARDS FOR THE HUMANE TREATMENT OF LIVESTOCK
to be observed on all
premises used by any person licensed pursuant to this subtitle; AND

(2)      GOVERNING THE HUMANE TREATMENT OF 3-D LIVESTOCK AT A
LIVESTOCK AUCTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

(House Bill 187)

AN ACT concerning

Office of Administrative Hearings - Exemptions

FOR the purpose of exempting certain determinations and appeals in the Department of
Economic and Employment Development from the provisions of law relating to the
Office of Administrative Hearings; requiring the State Advisory Council on
Administrative Hearings to advise the Governor on the exemption of agencies
under the provisions relating to the Office of Administrative Hearings; and
generally relating to exemptions of agencies from the provisions of law relating to
the Office of Administrative Hearings.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - State Government
Section 9-1601 and 9-1610
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1984 Volume and 1992 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

9-1601.

(a) This subtitle does not apply to:

(1)     the Governor;

(2)     any unit of the Judicial Branch;
