AN ACT concerning

Central Collection Unit - Referral of Debts

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Central Collection Unit to report certain accounts to
a consumer reporting agency.

BY adding to

Article - State Finance and Procurement

Section 3-304(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1988 Replacement Volume and 1992 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

3-304.         

(C) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, THE CENTRAL
COLLECTION UNIT MAY REPORT ANY ACCOUNT REFERRED TO IT UNDER THIS
SECTION TO A CONSUMER REPORTING AGENCY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Deportment of Agriculture Certified Agencies - Promotion of Agricultural Commodities

- Apple Privatization

FOR the purpose of authorizing a certain agency approved by the Secretary of
Agriculture to charge its members a certain amount for a certain purpose;
eliminating certain limitations on the amount of certain annual assessments which
may be levied by certain certified agencies; privatizing the operations of the State
Apple Commission by abolishing the Commission and the excise tax collected by it
on certain apples; providing for the disposition of apple excise taxes to a certified
agency under certain circumstances; and generally relating to annual assessments
levied by certified agencies for the promotion of certain agricultural commodities.
