(Senate Bill 490)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Pilots

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Board of Pilots in accordance with the
Maryland Program Evaluation Act by extending to a certain date the termination
provision relating to the statutory and regulatory authority of the Board and the
regulation of pilots; providing for the effective date of this Act; and generally
relating to the State Board of Pilots and the regulation of pilots.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

11-802.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall terminate and
be of no effect after July 1, [1993] 2003.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 1993.

State Personnel and Pensions Article - Cross-References

FOR the purpose of correcting throughout the Annotated Code cross-references that will
be rendered obsolete by the State Personnel and Pensions Article; conforming the
terminology in certain provisions to the terminology in the State Personnel and
Pensions Article; making a technical correction in the State Personnel and Pensions
Article; making a technical correction in Article 73B - Pensions; repealing certain
obsolete laws; repealing a certain provision in Chapter______ (S.B. 478) of the Acts of
