WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 10 Workers' Compensation Act is set out in Title 9, Subtitle 2 of the Labor and Defined terms: "Appointing authority" § 1-101 12-102. TEMPORARY EXTRA EMPLOYEES. (A) IN GENERAL. IF AN EXTRA POSITION IS NEEDED FOR 6 MONTHS OR LESS BECAUSE OF (B) CONTENTS OF REQUEST. (1) THE DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED; AND (2) THE PROBABLE LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT. (C) AUTHORIZATION BY SECRETARY. THE SECRETARY MAY AUTHORIZE THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY TO APPOINT, (D) APPOINTMENT.
