3-406. COMPLIANCE.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS AND INTENT OF THE MARYLAND
CONSTITUTION AND OTHER LAWS OF THIS STATE, EACH UNIT SHALL COOPERATE
FULLY WITH THE SECRETARY AND SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE
REGULATIONS AND DIRECTIVES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE POLICY OF THIS STATE
AGAINST DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from the first sentence of former Art. 64A, § 12D.

The former references to "rules" and "guidelines" are deleted as included in
the reference to "regulations and directives". See General Revisor's Note to
this Division I.

"Unit" § 3-401

3-407. EVALUATION AND CONSULTATION BY SECRETARY.

THE SECRETARY PERIODICALLY SHALL:

(1)      EVALUATE THE PROGRAM WITHIN EACH UNIT; AND

(2)      CONSULT WITH AND SOLICIT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM
INTERESTED PERSONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from the sixth sentence and the first clause of the fifth sentence of
former Art. 64A, § 12B.

The defined term "person" is substituted for the former phrase "individuals
and organizations" for brevity.

The former reference to a "review" is deleted as included in the term
"evaluate".

3-408. COORDINATOR.

(A)     APPOINTMENT.

THE SECRETARY SHALL APPOINT AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

(B)     DUTIES.

UNDER THE DIRECTION AND SUPERVISION OF THE SECRETARY, THE
COORDINATOR SHALL:
