Ch. 5                                        1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(y) (2) Hotels and restaurants are defined to be:

(ii) Seven day license holders

B. Establishments for the accommodation of the public which
provide services found ordinarily in hotels, have a lobby with a registration and mail desk
and seating facilities, and an enclosed dining area which serves full-course meals from
menus at least twice [daily] DAILY; or

(h-2)(5) The license shall be issued only for the following clubs and
organizations:

(ii) Any lodge of chapter of a bona fide nonprofit and nationally
chartered fratenal organization composed of members duly elected and initiated in
accordance with the [fights] RITES and customs of such fraternal organizations which is
operating a house or clubhouse for the use of its members, and is neither directly of
indirectly operated as a public business, provided that any such club or organization has
100 of more bona fide members paying such dues as required by its national organization
in the year immediately preceding the year in which such license is issued, and provided
that such home or clubhouse has facilities for preparing and serving food on the premises
to the members and their guests;

21.

(g) In Howard County, the Board of License Commissioners may issue the
following types of Class D beer, wine and liquor licenses:

(1)     (i) A 7-day (on-sale) Class D beer, wine and liquor license for
[on-premise] ON-PREMISES consumption only;

(ii) The annual fee is $1,000';

(2)     (i) A 6-day (on-sale) Class D beef, wine and liquor license for
[on-premise] ON-PREMISES consumption only;

(ii) The annual fee is $600;

(3)     (i) A 7-day (on- and off-sale) Class D beer, wine and liquor license
for on- and [off-premise] OFF-PREMISES consumption;
