Ch. 8
1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND
functions of MIANR may not be expended
for that purpose. Provided, however, that
the funds hereby restricted may be
transferred by approved budget amendment
to the School of Veterinary Medicine at the
University of Maryland at College Park so
long as this transfer is initiated not later
than July 15, 1993. Provided further that
these funds are contingent upon enrollment
of 30 first year full-time equivalent
Maryland students in academic year
1993-1994. It is the intent of the General
Assembly that no reduction shall occur in
the level of field service or in the 4-H and
agricultural programs administered by
MIANR under this provision........................
Current Restricted Appropriation ..................
It is the intent of the committees that $519,604
shall be reduced in the cost of
administrative functions in MIANR, as
significant funds are potentially available
from the merger with the University of
Maryland College Park. In the event the
Board of Regents of the University of
Maryland System decides to merge the
programs of the MIANR, no reductions will
occur in the level of field service or in the
4-H and agricultural programs. No special
funds shall be substituted for the reduction
in general funds with the exception that
College Park may absorb those costs upon
merging with MIANR.
