WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor
S.B. 432
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 432.
This bill would provide that a person convicted of fleeing or eluding is subject to
enhanced penalties if the violation results in bodily injury or death to another person.
House Bill 1106, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 11,
1993, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 432.
Sincerely,
William Donald Schaefer
Governor
