AN ACT concerning

Inspection of Amusement Attractions - Sunset Extension

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Amusement Ride Safety Advisory Board and
the laws regulating amusement attractions at amusement parks and amusement
rides in accordance with the Maryland Program Evaluation Act by extending to a
certain date the termination provisions relating to the statutory and regulatory
authority of the Board and the Commissioner of Labor and Industry over
amusement attractions and rides; and generally relating to the State Amusement
Ride Safety Advisory Board and the laws regulating amusement attractions at
amusement parks and amusement rides.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Regulation

3-601.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall terminate on
July 1, [1994] 2004.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.
