S.B. 332                                                   VETOES

(a)     In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) "Administration" means the Child Support Enforcement Administration of
the Department,

(c) "Complaint" means a [bill or petition in equity] COMPLAINT filed in a
paternity proceeding IN THE FAMILY COURT.

5-1005.

(a) [An equity court] THE FAMILY COURT may determine the legitimacy of a
child pursuant to § 1-208 of the Estates and Trusts Article.

(b)     This section docs not limit paternity proceedings under this subtitle except
after the l
egitimation of a child under this section.

9-102.

At any time after the termination of a marriage by divorce, annulment, or death,
[an equity court] THE FAMILY COURT may:

(1) consider a petition for reasonable visitation by a grandparent of a
natural or adopted child of th
e parties whose marriage has been terminated; and

(2) if the court finds it to be in the best interests of the child, grant visitation
rights to the grandparent.

10-301.

(a) In this subtitle, unless the context requires otherwise, the following words
have the meanings indicated.

(b) "Court" means:

(1) [as to criminal proceedings, the District Court and any other court in
this State that exercises criminal jurisdiction over the enforcement of laws respecting
duties of support;

(2) as to civil proceedings, the circuit court for any county and juvenile
courts having jurisdiction over the civil enforcement of laws respecting duties of support]
THE FAMILY COURT; and

[(3)] (2) as to proceedings in another state, the court of any other state as
defined in a substantially similar reciprocal law.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 1-605 through

1-608, 3-804 through 3-810.1, 3-814 through 3-831, 3-834 through 3-837, and 4-405,

respectively, of Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings of the Annotated Code of

Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 1-604 through 1-607, 3-803 through 3-810,
3-813 through 3-835, and 4-103, respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with this Act, are repealed to the extent of the
inconsistency.
