COORDINATED PROGRAM FOR INSPECTING GASOLINE STATIONS FOR COMPLIANCE
WITH WEIGHTS AND MEASURES UNDER TITLE 11 OF THIS ARTICLE, FOR
COMPLIANCE WITH AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS ADOPTED UNDER TITLE 2
OF THE ENVIRONMENT ARTICLE, AND FOR COMPLIANCE WITH GASOLINE MOTOR
FUEL SPECIFICATIONS UNDER TITLE 10 OF THE BUSINESS REGULATION ARTICLE.
Article - Business Regulation
10-203.
(A) The Comptroller periodically shall collect or cause to be collected and cause
to be analyzed samples of all motor fuel that is:
(1) subject to regulation under this title; and
(2) stored and offered for sale in the State.
(B) SAMPLES OF MOTOR FUEL SHALL, TO THE EXTENT PRACTICABLE, BE
COLLECTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH WEIGHTS AND MEASURES INSPECTIONS
CONDUCTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH §
11-204(D) OF THE AGRICULTURE ARTICLE.

2-303.1.
IN ADMINISTERING THE INSPECTION OF GASOLINE DISPENSING SYSTEMS
UNDER THE STAGE II VAPOR RECOVERY PROGRAM REQUIRED BY § 182(B)(3)(A) OF
THE FEDERAL CLEAN AIR ACT AMENDMENTS OF 1993 1990, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL
COOPERATE WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IN CREATING A
CONSOLIDATED INSPECTION PROGRAM UNDER § 11-204(D)(2) OF THE AGRICULTURE
ARTICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That:
(1) By no later than November 1, 1993, the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal
Planning, in conjunction with the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of the
Environment, and the Comptroller of the Treasury, shall develop and submit to the
Legislative Policy Committee, a comprehensive and practicable plan for the coordination
and consolidation of inspection programs relating to weights and measures and to other
commercial inspection programs for consumer and environmental protection
administered in the Department of Agriculture, the Department of the Environment, and
in the Office of the Comptroller.
(2) The plan shall include all necessary legislation, codified and uncodified,
supplemental to or modifying the provisions of Section 1 of this Act, required to fully
implement the coordination and consolidation of appropriate inspection functions under
the direction of the Weights and Measures Program of the Department of Agriculture by
July 1, 1994, including provisions that will achieve the primary purpose of this Act of
consolidating and restructuring in the most cost efficient and productive manner those
