[(viii)] (VII) the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee;

[(ix)] (VIII) the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee;

[(x)] (IX) the Minority Leader; and

[(xi)] (X) 1. [3] 4 other Delegates, appointed by the Speaker and
approved by majority vote of the House; or

2. if a Delegate simultaneously serves in 2 of the positions set
forth in items (ii) through [(ix)] (VIII), inclusive, of this paragraph, [4] 5 other
Delegates, appointed by the Speaker and approved by majority vote of the House.

(b) (1) As far as possible, the Senators appointed by the President, under
subsection (a)(1)(ix) of this section, shall be representative of the various sections and
interests of the State.

(2) As far as possible, the Delegates appointed by the Speaker, under
subsection (a)(2) [(xi)] (X) of this section, shall be representative of the various sections
and interests of the State.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

This repeals an obsolete reference to the Chairman of the Constitutional and
Administrative Law Committee.

The Department of Legislative Reference shall[:],

[(1)]on request of a member of the General Assembly, provide the member
with a copy of the Annotated Code of Maryland, for personal use[; and

(2)] during the term of the member, AND SHALL keep the volumes current.

This amendment reflects a cost-saving measure approved by the presiding officers
of the General Assembly.

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland

(a)     In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b)     "Boxing or wrestling contest" means a boxing, sparring, or wrestling contest.
