CENTS FOR EACH ADDITIONAL POUND OF EXCESS WEIGHT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission - System Development Charge

MC/PG 21-93

FOR the purpose of altering the requirements for certain notices to be published before
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) holds certain public
hearings; authorizing the WSSC to impose a system development charge that
applicants for new service shall pay before the initial connection of service;
requiring the Montgomery County Council and the Prince George's County Council
to meet annually to discuss and approve the amount of the charge; requiring certain
factors to be identified and considered or identified when establishing the charge;
specifying the amount of the charge if the councils do not agree on the charge;
restricting the amount of the charge; providing a procedure for paying the charge;
authorizing the WSSC to providing that the WSSC may only use the funds from the
system development charge for certain purposes; authorizing and requiring certain
credits against the charge; requiring certain reports; defining certain terms; and
generally relating to certain notice requirements and authorization for a system
development charge by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
