Ch, 5                                        1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(i) In Worcester County, the Board of License Commissioners may revoke or
suspend an alcoholic beverages license if the license has not been placed in operation
after a period of 6 months from the date the Board approved:

(1)     The issuance of the license; or                                                   

(2)     The transfer of the license.

98.

(a) [In] THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IN Frederick County.

(B) (1) [notwithstanding] NOTWITHSTANDING any other provision of this
subtitle, the privilege conferred by every class of "on-sale" license may be exercised
during the hours from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. [, except on] DAILY, EXCEPT SUNDAYS.

(2)      ON Sundays, [when] the hours [shall be] ARE from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m.
[Provided, however, that nothing in this].                                                           

(3)      THIS section [shall] DOES NOT apply to holders of Class E licenses.

[(b)](C) A Class 4 manufacturer's licensee may sell wine on Sundays, in a sealed
package or [container] CONTAINER, which may not be opened or the contents
consumed on the licensee's premises, subject to the other restrictions contained in §
5(e)(1).                                                                                     

[(c)] (D) (1) A Class A wine licensee may sell wine on Sundays.

(2) (i) [In Frederick County the] THE Board of License Commissioners
may grant a special Sunday opening permit to a Class A beer, wine and liquor (off-sale)
licensee.

(ii) The special Sunday opening permit authorizes the holder to sell
beer, wine and liquor for off-premises consumption on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 12 o'clock
midnight.

(iii) The annual fee for the special Sunday opening permit is $650 in
addition to the annual fee for the Class A beer, wine and liquor (off-sale) license.

(iv) The special Sunday opening permit is not considered a separate
class of license and, if it is granted, the privilege shall be incorporated into the existing
Class A beer, wine and liquor license.
