(II) THE COSTS ASSESSED BY THE SECRETARY FOR SETTLEMENT
OF CLAIMS AND EXPENSES RESULTING FROM THE PARTICIPATION OF ITS
EMPLOYEES IN THE PROGRAM; AND

(III) ANY COSTS'. AS DETERMINED BY THE SECRETARY, FOR THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THIS PROGRAM; AND

(2) DETERMINE THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE ORGANIZATION WILL
SUBSIDIZE PARTICIPATION BY ITS EMPLOYEES IN THE PROGRAM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Health Insurance - Payments for Rental of Medical Equipment

FOR the purpose of requiring direct payment by any nonprofit health service plan under
certain circumstances or by any insurer to the provider of medical equipment and
services for certain rental equipment; requiring full the agreed upon monthly
payments to be made for rental equipment for a certain period; requiring certain
notice for termination of authorization to be made; requiring certain written
consent prior to purchase of rental equipment; providing that the purchase of certain
equipment and services may be made with the consent of the provider and the insurer
under certain circumstances; providing for the effective date of this Act; and generally
relating to payments for rental of medical equipment.
