6-202 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(d) (i) Each REGULAR member serves for a term of 4 years and until a
successor is appointed and qualifies. These term's are staggered as required by the terms
of the members serving on the State Board as of July 1, 1989.

(2) The Governor shall appoint a hew member to fill any vacancy on the
Board for the remainder of that term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(3) A member is eligible for reappointment but may not serve for more than
two full 4-year terms.                   

(4) The student member shall serve for a term of 1 year. A student member
is eligible for reappointment but may not serve more than 2 full 1-year terms.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

State Personnel—State Subsidy for Health Benefits—Optional Retirement Program
State Personnel - Health Insurance Program - Spouse and Dependents of Certain

Retirees

FOR the purpose of making a certain State subsidy for certain health benefits applicable
to the spouse and dependent children of certain eligible employees who retire under
a certain optional retirement program making the State subsidy for the spouse and
dependent children of certain retirees available to an individual, and the surviving
spouse and dependent children of an individual, who retired under an optional
retirement program after 25 years of State service.
