AN ACT concerning                   

Baltimore City - Alcoholic Beverages

(Arena License Criteria/After Hours Clubs)

FOR the purpose of specifying what constitutes an arena in Baltimore City for alcoholic
beverage purposes; specifying criteria for issuing an arena alcoholic beverages
license; clarifying structure and language; prohibiting a person from consuming
alcoholic beverages in certain places, whether or not the premises or place is licensed for
the sale of alcoholic beverages or has any other license, during certain hours; prohibiting
owners, operators, or managers from knowingly permitting that consumption; requiring
owners, operators, or managers of certain places to register with certain entities and
comply with certain laws; providing a penalty; making this Act an emergency measure;
and generally relating to a beer, wine and liquor arena license and certain
prohibitions and registration requirements governing certain premises in Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

19.                            

(d) (1) (j) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN BALTIMORE CITY.

(II) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, [in Baltimore
City] the annual license fee is $1,000.
